There is a meaningful difference between knowing a destination and knowing of it. A company with villas in twelve countries knows of Greece and Cyprus in the sense that they have listings there, but they do not necessarily know those destinations in the way that shapes good advice.
Which areas of Crete suit families with young children versus couples who want to explore on foot? What is the real difference between staying in Oia and staying in Imerovigli in Santorini? When is the best time to visit Kefalonia if you want the island almost to yourself? Is Paphos or Ayia Napa the better fit for a group that wants beaches but also some history and culture?
These are questions that require real knowledge to answer well. We have built that knowledge over years of visiting properties, talking to local managers, and listening to the guests who come back to us year after year. We could not have done that across twelve countries.
Greece and Cyprus Are Not Interchangeable
Even within our two destinations, the differences are significant and worth understanding properly.
Greece is an archipelago of more than 200 inhabited islands, each with its own character, landscape, and pace of life. The volcanic drama of Santorini is completely unlike the lush green hills of Corfu, which is completely unlike the medieval walled city of Rhodes, which is completely unlike the wild, quiet coastline of Kefalonia. Treating them as variations on the same theme is a mistake that generalist companies often make.
Cyprus is different again. It has a longer season than most of the Greek islands, reliable warmth from March through to November, a more accessible landscape for exploring by car, and a distinctive culture that blends Greek, Middle Eastern, and British influences in a way you do not find anywhere else in the Mediterranean. Paphos and its surrounding villages offer a completely different experience to the livelier resort areas in the east of the island.
Understanding those distinctions properly takes time and focus. You cannot do it properly while also maintaining a portfolio of villas in Tuscany and Provence.
What It Means for You
When you contact us about a Greece or Cyprus villa holiday, you are talking to people who know those destinations specifically. We are not going to recommend a villa in Corfu when what you actually want is Mykonos, or suggest a Crete villa in the busy north coast resort strip when you have told us you want somewhere quiet and off the beaten track.
We can tell you which islands have the best beaches for families with toddlers, which destinations work well for groups who want a mix of nightlife and peace, and which areas of Cyprus offer the easiest access for guests flying into Paphos versus Larnaca. We know this because Greece and Cyprus are the only places we work.

The Honest Trade-Off
We are aware that specialising means we cannot help everyone. If you want a villa in Tuscany or the Algarve, we are not your company and we will say so directly rather than trying to stretch our collection to fit.
But for anyone who wants Greece or Cyprus, we would argue that working with a specialist is simply a better experience than booking through a platform that lists everything and knows nothing particularly well. The advice is more useful, the vetted properties are more reliably good, and when something goes wrong, the person you call actually knows the place you are staying.
That is the trade-off we made, and we think it is the right one.
